Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary Board Members

	Shawn Cornett - Chairperson Shawn's background in organizational effectiveness along with a Ph.D. in human and organizational development is a welcome addition to the Board. She is a recent graduate of The Centre Point's Board Governance training and joined the Board in April 2007. Shawn is also a member of the HR Committee.
	Louise Poole - Treasurer Louise joined the Board in September 2007 and is also a member of the Finance Committee. Louise is a Chartered Accountant and works in the Valuation & Business Modelling group at Ernst & Young where she focuses on providing valuation services related to financial reporting and mergers and acquisitions.
	Dennis Langen - Secretary Dennis joined the Board in 2002 and is both a Lawyer and a Professional Engineer. During his tenure on the Board, Dennis has filled various roles including being a member of the Finance Committee, Boys and Girls Clubs of Alberta regional representative and Secretary.
	Danell Dumont Danell teaches high school Social Studies and is committed to providing avenues for youth to develop positive self-esteem. He is also a Head Coach for a High School football program. Dan joined the Board in 2001 and is an active member of the finance and audit subcommittees.
	Melanie Gaston Deliman Melanie joined the Board in November 2006. Melanie works as a lawyer with Blake, Cassels and Graydon and focuses on commercial litigation, including contractual disputes, insurance matters, securities litigation, commercial landlord disputes and regulatory law. In 2006, Melanie was recognized as one of Calgary's top 40 under 40!
	Jon Lam Jon is the President and CEO of Ph03nix New Media. Ph03nix specializes in unconventional video game markets, including casual, educational, and branded entertainment games. A firm believer in corporate social responsibility, Jon and his staff at Ph03nix commit 1% of their time, revenue, and equity to charitable causes. Jon joined the Board in 2006, and is also a member of the finance subcommittee. Jon is a candidate for the CFA designation and has passed Level I of the CFA program.
	Jim McKay Our newest Board member Jim joined the Board in April 2008. He holds a Queen's MBA and is a Certified Management Accountant. Working in the Oilsands Business Development group at Praxair Canada Inc., Jim and his team provide industrial gas solutions for large energy projects in western Canada.
	Randy Neely Randy Neely is the Chief Financial Officer for Zodiac Exploration Corp., a private company focused on the acquisition and exploration of light oil resources in the San Joaquin Basin in California. Randy has called Calgary home since the 1980s and lives here with his wife and two young children. He joined the Board in 2007 bringing financial and business expertise.
	David Sabo David joined the board in December of 2007. He is currently the Associate Vice- President of Logistics Western Canada, Sears Canada Inc. For the last forty years Sears Canada and the Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada have worked together to level the playing field for deserving children and youth. This partnership is active at both the national and local levels.
	Guy Slater Guy is an Inspector with the Calgary Policy Service, which has been actively involved with Boys and Girls Clubs since its inception. Guy has continued the tradition and has been an active member of the Board since 2001. He brings community experiences gained through 20 years of policing and his positive belief in children and youth make him an incredible advocate for the work of BGCC. When Guy is not working or volunteering he enjoys the outdoors, biking, a little photography and spending time with his family.
