Cheryl Doherty, BSW, Executive Director

Cheryl has a long history with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary. Upon graduating from the University of Calgary with a Social Work Degree, she obtained a front line position working in a Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary group home. Since then, Cheryl has had various positions within the organization ranging from working in outreach, starting a new group home and running one of our community clubs. In total, Cheryl has been with the agency for over 30 years and has spent close to ten years in her current position as Executive Director. Cheryl says she "feels very blessed to work with the most passionate and committed staff in Calgary who continually put kids first every day."
