Anne Scott, BComm, Manager of Human Resources Anne has been working in the human resources field for more than 20 years, bringing her expertise to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary in February of 2007. Anne is a real joy in the office and is working towards making the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary an agency of choice for employees in Calgary. Anne says the inspiration for her work each day is in "helping to build the team that does such great work for Calgary's families." |

Christie Pallay, BSW, RSW, Manager of Clubs Christie began managing youth programs in January of 2008 and has been working in the sector for five years now. She enjoys working with a diverse group of people who help to better the lives of children, youth and families in the community. When asked about the best part of her job, Christie replied, "having the opportunity to feed my passion for creating opportunities for at-risk youth and being part of a national movement - the ability and opportunity to make change happen across the country." |

Corinne Bergstrom, BA, MA, Manager of Home Start and Community Engagement Projects Corinne came to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary in November 2007. She brings a wealth of experience having worked in the nonprofit sector since 1991 in varying capacities and having held leadership positions since 1999. Corinne finds building community, relationships and using her creativity very rewarding. She says she gets to experience all three on a daily basis in her work here. Corinne explains, "It feels more like a community than an organization to me, and in that community is a wealth of resources and support that is outstanding." |

Dawn Leonard, BA, Manager of Intervention Dawn has been working to better the lives of children and youth for 14 years and has been with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary for seven years. She says what she loves most about her job is "being surrounded by people who are committed to the children and youth as well as the agency." As well, she says, "I am always inspired by the youth that we work with and who, every day, provide us with examples of what it means to be resilient." |

Heidi Walter, RSW, Manager of Intervention Services Heidi started with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary in 2000. Her home for many of those years was the Bowness Group Home. As well, Heidi had the opportunity to work in several other programs including Haven's Way, Eleanor's House, Safehouse, and Independent Living. This past fall, Heidi moved into her new role of Manager of Group Homes. Heidi's greatest reward and enjoyment is working with the youth and families to improve their lives and enhance relationships. Watching the youth grow into remarkable young adults in a safe environment and providing them with piece of mind that they can rely on us to support them for future years is the greatest gift anyone can give. |

Kat Main, BEd, Manager of Intervention Kat joined the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary in April of 2008. As a former teacher with the Calgary Board of Education, Kat brings a strong background in psychology and sociology as well as working with new immigrants and refugees. Kat has a passion for the arts and also works for the Writers Guild of Alberta as a youth writing mentor. She's excited to be with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary for the opportunity for meaningful work in a new sector. She says she loves her team and working collaboratively with others to improve the lives of youth. |

Katie Davies, BA, MA Candidate, Manager of Intervention Katie has worked at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary for since 2002. Beginning at the Bowness Group Home, she has since had the opportunity to work with a number of intervention programs including Group Care, Independent Living, Eleanor's House and Grimmon House. Currently, she manages Avenue 15, Safe House, Haven's Way and the BGCC High Risk Housing Specialist. Katie is working towards completing her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. |

Kim Wirth, BA, Manager of Intervention Kim has worked at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary since 2000. She has worked in numerous areas including Group Care, PSECA, Foster Care, and Shelters. Her current portfolio matches her passion for helping youth transition to adulthood from homelessness and government care. She sits on the Calgary Action Committee to end homelessness – Youth Sector. Kim currently manages Haven’s Way, a program that provides young women, who cannot live at home, with a safe place to complete their education, as well as YTA and Infinity, two independent living programs which provide supports and resources to youth on their journey to self-sufficiency and independence. |

Talia Bell, BA, MA Candidate, Senior Manager of Prevention Services Talia has been with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary since September of 2002. Talia thrives in the fast-paced, dynamic environment here and says it all makes for a great work day. She says the best part about the organization is, "all of the amazing staff and kids," she continues saying, "whenever you need a quick pick me up, you can slip into one of the many programs offered and have fun with the smiling faces of kids!" |

Trelaine Robanske, Manager of Intervention, Foster Care Trelaine has been working with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary since December of 2007. She was introduced to the organization when she worked as a Child and Youth Care Worker Practicum Student, functioning as a group leader for girls aged 12 to 14, at the Rundle Boys and Girls Club in Edmonton while she attended College at Grant McEwan. Trelaine is committed to learning and has taken various training opportunities in the areas of suicide prevention, non-violent crisis resolution, first aid, working with sexually abused children and other relevant topics. Trelaine graduated in 1992 and has been working in the area of foster care since 1994 and loves it! She believes our foster care program is a must need for the children and youth of Calgary. She considers foster care to be a safe and nurturing environment, allowing children to have stability. She says the best part of her job is working with a great team and creating positive change for the children and families. |
