Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.
Our vision is that all children and youth discover and achieve their dreams and are healthy, successful and active participants in society.
For more than 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary has carried on a tradition of helping young people to discover, develop and achieve their full potential as adults, citizens and leaders, by engaging them in activities that challenge and enrich their minds, bodies and spirits and nurture their self-esteem. Our safe, caring Club environments and enriching programs have enabled thousands of young Calgarians to play, learn and develop valuable skills for life.
Our Core Values
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary shares with its national parent organization, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, a set of core values that guide both our long-term strategic direction, as well as our day-to-day operations and interactions.
We welcome everyone in a safe, accepting environment based on belonging and positive relationships.
We ensure that everyone – children, youth, families, volunteers, staff – is heard, respected, valued and treated fairly.
Encouragement and Support
We encourage and support every child and youth to play, learn and grow to achieve their dreams.
We work together with young people, families, volunteers, our communities and government.
We speak out with children, youth and families so that we can make our world better.
