During the early 1970's many youth were attracted to the Outdoor Services Program which was run out of the Langevin Club.  The program was open to kids from all the different clubs in the city, and activities included camping, both summer and winter, hiking, climbing, caving, canoeing, and cross country skiing.

The agency maintained an extensive outdoor sports shop at Langevin, and kids were responsible for the care and upkeep of equipment.  One year they were even responsible for building it.  Many alumni will remember the year in the back-shop where they built fibreglass canoes, and a couple of sailboats for good measure.  Those were itchy times!

Stay tuned for snapshots from the 80's, 90's, and 00's coming your way this fall.
