Join An Energetic Team

Join an energetic and fun team that is committed to providing deserving children and youth with hope for the future.  The Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary provide a supportive environment in which to share your experience, develop your skills, and take on new challenges.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, youth and families the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary is the place for you!

We offer great opportunities both part time and full time in our ongoing, year around programs.  There are also opportunities for those who want to work with our children, youth and families in the summer at Camp Adventure and our Day Camps here in Calgary.

We look for people who have great core qualities.  As our Director of Intervention, Ronni Abraham was quoted in a Calgary Herald article:

"The qualities that make for a good front-line worker? According to Abraham, it's about having a good head on one's shoulders, being non-judgmental, accepting, compassionate and energetic and able to think on one's feet, multi-task and problem-solve under fire."

There are specific requirements of various positions, but in all of our positions where you would work with youth you must present before your first day of work:

  • A clear criminal check and vulnerable sector search dated within 6 months of hire date
  • Current and valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • For positions that require driving our Agency vehicles - drivers abstract & Class 4 license
  • And the relevant training & qualifications to work with our youth and keep you safe
  • Registered Social Worker status, should your degree or diploma be in social work
  • Verification of your education degrees/diplomas from the granting institution

We have a great team and positive leaders along with competitive wages and a benefit plan that includes health, dental and Agency contributions to an RRSP for all our Full time Positions. One of our staff's favourite parts of our Full Time Benefits Plan is that Massages are covered in our health plan (so is travel emergency medical). Staff parking is available at most sites as well as access to Calgary Transit near most of our locations

Come find out more about us, and we will work with you to build your career with one of the biggest and most diverse Social Agencies in the City.
