Our Bowness Club is a safe place that helps build a positive sense of self through supportive adult mentors and engaging activities that challenge and enrich the mind, body and spirit of each member. Club programs focus on building life skills, and social and emotional competencies.
Youth Engaging Acting and Responding (Y.E.A.R)
The Y.E.A.R. program is geared toward youth in grades 6-12 living in the Bowness, Montgomery, and Greenwood Village Communities. The Y.E.A.R. program relationally engages youth through relevant programs, activities and events. Y.E.A.R. offers youth the chance to build awareness of the opportunities and needs in their Community; and to get involved in making positive neighbourhood change.
We offer bus services to children from three local Bowness elementary schools — Our Lady of The Assumption, Belvedere Parkway and Bowcroft Schools. This bus service is limited and operates on a first come first served basis. Please contact the club to learn how to register.
Registration / How to Apply
Winter Block 3 runs from January 8th – March 15th, 2018.
Step #1: Look at our Winter Block 3 schedule (above) and decide which programs your child would be most interested in attending.
Step #2: On December 7th at 6pm SHARP, our phone lines will be open for an hour. Parents can call in and make an appointment to meet one-on-one with a Club Staff Member to register their child for programs. Program Registration numbers is limited and it is first come, first served process. The number to call is 403-571-0517. If you get the answering service or a busy signal, please hang up and keep calling until you speak to a staff member. Messages will not be checked from 6-7pm. Given the high volume of calls, there might be a chance you will not successfully reach a staff member. After 7pm, you are welcome to leave a message for a staff member to call you back the following day.
Step #3: Once you have a date and time for your appointment, you can download the membership package and registration forms and bring them filled out to your appointment. We also have paper copies available at the Club if that is most helpful.
Step #4: If you are a new family to the Club, annual membership fees are due in full at the time of your registration appointment. It is $45 for an individual child and $85 for a family.
- If you miss your appointment or are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled.
- You are able to register your child(ren) for a maximum of 3 programs after-school. You can call the Club for more information.
