Aboriginal Programs

Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary offers a variety of cultural, social, educational and recreational programs for urban Aboriginal children, youth and their families. The Boys and Girls Clubs strive to enhance the quality of life experienced by Calgary's Aboriginal children, youth and families by offering a variety of activities which:

  • Focus on Aboriginal culture
  • Include Elders - allowing children, youth and families to build relationships with others in the Aboriginal community
  • Cultivate cultural awareness through traditional activities
  • Offer day trips/ travel with children and youth to enhance learning
  • Encourage and teach the basics of health and wellness
  • Help children and youth develop reading and study skills through programs and tutoring
  • Encourage family involvement
