Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary’s Education and Employment stream provides a wide variety of programs, activities and creative approaches to support children and youth. Our innovative programs increase opportunities for youth to engage and succeed in educational and career settings.
We achieve this by offering programs that develop both Educational and Employability skills; while increasing connection to culture and self-expression.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary’s Early Learning programs are to help start children’s education at an early age. These programs are for both the child and the parent to learn parenting strategies,community resources, early literacy, socialization, creativity, physical growth, and problem solving skills.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary believe education is one of the utmost important things to the children and youth we serve. With the education programs we offer Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary help children and youth continue and succeed in their educational journey.
Boys & Girls of Calgary’s youth learn important employment skills such as application writing, interview skills, punctuality, and customer service while gaining valuable work experience within the programs offered.
Immigration & Settlement
BYC supports youth with an immigrant and refugee youth focus. Services are offered seven days a week throughout the year during critical after school hours, holidays, and weekends. BYC addresses the developmental and settlement needs of newcomer youth through a comprehensive and culturally competent service model
