Foster Care

Vince and Colette have been foster parents with Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary for two years. They have enjoyed sharing their home with numerous children, both long and short term. Each child is embraced as an individual.

Vince and Colette started fostering because they wanted to give back to the community. “Fostering was a way for us to share our family life with children who were not able to be with their family for various reasons. We give our gift of family and enjoy impacting the lives of children and families”

Vince and Colette make a dedication to all the children who share their lives to incorporate the children’s wishes into their family routine where appropriate. They provide a safe, secure and loving home, where the children are given the opportunity to explore and grow in an accepting family environment.

If you would like to make a direct impact on the lives of children and families in Calgary, the Foster Care Program is looking for caring, supportive environments for kids to grow. Environments like Vince and Colette’s, who make a difference and contribute to a healthy community. The Foster Care Program at Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary supports families who want to create safe, fun and loving homes to children and youth ages 0-17.

We are always seeking new families who have the ability to give a child a place to call home when they are unable to stay with their biological parents. Foster Families are unique and giving of their time, their home, their experiences and their skills. They strive to create a safe place to build positive relationships and skills for life by helping one youth at a time.
