Independent Living

The Independent Living Program offers supported living arrangements in community settings. Young people are provided with resources and supports that help them to develop their own self-sufficiency and independence. Our goal is to help young people acquire the skills and confidence for successful community living.
Who can stay in the Independent Living Program?
- Youth aged 16 to 24 years
- Child Intervention status is not required
What types of housing are available?
Transitional Living
- Youth live together in a duplex or town house
- Staff provide daily support
- For youth needing a high level of support to be successful
Supported Independent Living
- Youth live alone or with roommates
- Youth meet with staff regularly for support
- For youth needing a moderate level of support to be successful
Community Living
- Youth live alone or with roommates
- Youth are assisted to obtain their own lease agreements
- Youth meet with staff occasionally and can call for support
- For youth needing only a little support to be successful
