Indigenous Initiatives provides First Nations, Métis and Inuit children, youth and families with resources and supports to promote health, wellness and opportunities that enable them to be active members of their community and to embrace and be proud of their cultural heritage and traditions.
Community Based Care & Support
Out-of-home community-based residential care alternatives for children and youth who cannot live at home, including young people who have experienced or are at-risk of sexual exploitation.
Working through a model that is based on traditional Indigenous teachings and Western practice, the Mahmawi-Atoskiwin program works alongside individuals and their family to create a Family Wellness Team.
