Trellis' Trans Day of Remembrance Event
On Trans Day of Remembrance we remember those that we have lost, but we also honour and acknowledge those that are still with us today. This year’s event was special as we heard personal stories from young people and staff from our programs.

"We are sacred and have a right to exist. As a two-spirit woman I exist in defiance of the hate this world bleeds upon me and my relations who identify as two-spirit. We are always here, and we will continue on as we did for millenia."
Sebastian (They/Them)
"I neither wanted to be known as woman or man, but rather just Seb. I also decided that I only get to have a say in how I present just like everyone gets a say in how they present. It's been a long process, but I've made it to the age of 17, and I've been living my true identity for five going on six years.”
